PAY IT FORWARD WITH KINDNESS AND GENEROSITY TO INSPIRE POSITIVE CHANGE IN THE WORLD
On Monday 26 March, I met with our Minister for Education, The Hon. Martin Dixon at Bimbadeen Heights Primary School. He's an extremely busy man, so I felt rather lucky that he requested a meeting. We discussed the Ripple Kindness Project for Schools and how it changes the way children feel about themselves and others to create positive cultures in schools.
I also explained that this is a whole school program and that kindness isn't left at the gate when children go home. It's designed to reach the wider community through the curriculum, activities and kindness cards, so that kindness is taken into the home and embraced by families and friends.
We also discussed the community project and that in excess of 35,000 Kindness Cards have been sent all over the world.

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development distribute their magazine "Inspire" to schools across Victoria, Australia and is a wonderful resource for teachers, principals and well being officers.
Bimbadeen Heights Primary School, the pilot school for Ripple Kindness Project and myself were interviewed for the feature article of the March issue.

Y I gave someone who I know doesn't have the spare money $100.
Y I gave 57 kindness hampers out at John Hunter hospital in Newcastle with Mr Matthew 3. We made people cry and just showed kindness by listening to people. I gave my time and I was given so much more in return. I was given hugs, smiles and genuine thanks and even got shouted a coffee from a spunky guy! Woohoo! Matthew on the other hand was shown how to show strangers some kindness. That in itself was a lession that will last my 3 yr old a life time.
Y I lost my wallet on the London trains - it was returned to me with all the money (and there
was quite a lot) in it a few weeks later. I never met the person who found it, but I did give
a gift of thanks, but I just could never thank him enough. Whenever I can think of good thoughts
of thanks to this person regularly. I was travelling with the 3 children as my husband was working
as we had just arrived in the county - hence the delay in returning it. They contacted the Embassy
who sent me a letter. Amazing!
Y I gave a couple a lift home as they were waiting too long for a taxi which didn't come. I also hugged & kissed all my clients as I always do, sent messages of love to my friends & a couple of anonymous love letters left around for people to find. My kids did this too!
Y My family and friends were there for me when I needed them most.
Y I gave lots & lots of counselling, support & spiritual services to those in need.
Y My husband lost his wallet on the road one evening when he pulled over to check something on his truck. Didn't even notice until next morning when left for work. I was just getting ready to call and cancel everything after we looked absolutely everywhere, when the door bell rang and there was a good samaritan who just happened to pull over in the same spot that next morning standing there. He said, I think this belongs to your husband, handing me the wallet. I was dumbfounded. I could only hug him. We were just getting ready to do our xmas shopping that weekend and all the CASH was still inside. He refused any kind of reward and told me he hoped I'd do the same thing someday. I told him I would never forget this and to this day, we always do random acts of kindness whenever we can.

Many people share my belief that kindness has the power to create happy, healthy and fulfilling lives. But recently several organizations demonstrated their hope for a kinder world by worked together to produce the latest batch of kindness cards. Their generosity helps us support and educate people far and wide by offering free kindness cards to people in many places throughout the world. Please extend your support to these wonderful people when next you require club, school or business apparel or printing.
